St Patrick’s Parish Library Overview

The purpose of the library is to encourage, support and enrich the spiritual and intellectual growth of our parishioners by providing educational and inspirational materials that are consistent with the teachings of the Catholic Church.

The library is located in the Steinmetz House.  It will be open Sunday mornings from 8:30 – 9:00, 10:00 – 10:30, 12:00 – 1:00; that is, after each Mass.  It will be open Wednesday mornings from 10:00 – 12:00.  Volunteers will be present to check out items to members of the parish.

There are books for adults and children, DVDs and CD audio recordings.  Three items at a time may be checked out for one month.  Return boxes will be kept in the church office and in the library.

A list of our materials will be available online through the St. Patrick’s Church website.  If parishioners are not able to come to the Library, they can view this list and choose items they would like to check out.  Then they may request a volunteer to pull the items, check them out for them, and agree upon a delivery location and time.

At this time we are only requesting donations of books in Spanish, children’s books in good condition.  Materials chosen and/or donated must be consistent with the library’s purpose and in good condition.  The Library Committee reserves the right to discard any donated materials.  Donated materials not accepted may be given to charitable organizations or included in periodic book sales.
